COME, COME, YE SAINTS | AMMONIUS SOULSTAR
Ammonius Soulstar never set out to change the game—he was the game. A one-man revolution in the world of LDS music, he saw no reason why faith couldn’t come with a falsetto and a groove. Raised in a home where gospel music met 90s R&B, he grew up believing that Saints could march... and two-step at the same time.
When he got his hands on Come, Come, Ye Saints, he knew what had to be done. The words carried generations of faith, endurance, and the promise that all is well—but what if they also carried a beat? What if praising the Lord didn’t have to feel like trudging through the desert but could feel like strutting into Zion with a full band behind you? And so, with a smooth bassline, celestial harmonies, and a voice as silky as his signature gold suit, Ammonius breathed new life into an anthem of hope.
Some say his inspiration struck while staring at a painting of pioneers, others say it was during an intense prayer session at a diner with bottomless hot chocolate. Either way, he walked into the studio and declared, "If the Saints are gonna come, they’re gonna do it with style." And thus, history was made.
At its heart, this isn’t just a song—it’s a testimony. A witness that yes, life is hard, but we walk it with confidence because Christ lights our way. We endure with a spirit of joy, not just survival. So, dust off your faith, put some rhythm in your step, and remember: All is well. All is groovy.
