Boots in the Beehive State
Ammonius was raised in the great state of Utah, where gospel roots run deep and the Wasatch winds carry hymns on Sunday mornings. He grew up surrounded by the beauty of the gospel—not just in the mountains, but in the people. Good friends, great youth leaders, and mentors who actually lived what they preached helped him build a testimony that wasn’t just for Sundays. They showed him how to walk with Christ, not just talk about Him. It wasn’t a perfect journey (because, let’s be real, whose is?), but those early years laid the foundation for the faith he’d spend his life refining, one step, one stumble, and one redemption at a time.
A House Built on Rock, Funk, and the Gospel
If there’s one thing Ammonius knows, it’s that the Lord places people in our lives who shape us in ways we never see coming. His father—a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—was one of those people. A man who sought truth, found it, and built a legacy of faith on it. His conversion wasn’t just a moment; it was a foundation that would bless generations, including Ammonius. Then there’s his wife—a powerhouse of faith, intelligence, and grit. She left the fast-paced streets of New York for the mountains of Utah, the only member of the Church in her family, stepping forward in faith without looking back. Not only did she build a new life, but she built it with purpose, serving as an attorney who protects and advocates for children. And then there’s his mother—the quiet force behind it all. A woman of steadfast faith, humility, and patience that runs deeper than the Great Salt Lake. If there’s an example of unwavering trust in the Lord, it’s her. Together, they’ve shaped Ammonius’ faith, not just in words, but in the way they live, love, and serve.

Ammonius served an LDS mission in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he spread the good word and shared his testimony with everyone he met. He's got a powerful testimony of the Savior and His Atonement, and he's not afraid to share it through some funky jams. Each track is a testament to his love for Christ and his desire to invite everyone to groove to the Spirit.
